LAMB OF GOD Kicked Off FAMILY VALUES Tour?
March 2, 2007According to HardDriveRadio, LAMB OF GOD — which was previously rumored to be on this summer's Family Values Tour — is no longer on the bill. "Apparently someone from LAMB OF GOD made some disparaging remarks on their site about the leaked news of their inclusion on the tour, which got back to KORN," reads a posting on the HardDriveRadioweb site. "And just like the exploding drummer in SPINAL TAP, they're outta there!"
KORN will reportedly be joined by EVANESCENCE and AIDEN on the 2007 Family Values Tour, according to a promotional e-card sent out by KORN's label, Virgin Records. Although KORN's management did say that an official tour announcement would be coming soon, it stressed that the lineup for this year's edition has not yet been confirmed. All KORN singer Jonathan Davis would tell Launch is that Family Values is on his band's agenda. "We definitely want to do it this year, and we're getting in the middle of it, trying to find the bands that we want on there, and you know how that goes, I can't say anything until we get it," he said. "But hopefully it'll be in charge this year, we'll be going for it this summer."
Last year's Family Values package was the first since 2001 and featured DEFTONES, STONE SOUR, 10 YEARS, FLYLEAF and others in addition to headliners KORN.
A CD and DVD from last summer's tour was released in late December.
Previous versions of the tour, which first began in 1998, have included LINKIN PARK, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, LIMP BIZKIT, FILTER, STAIND and more.
